Sacred Music is Here

Aloha and Welcome!

To the Big Island's 1st ever blog about kirtan. I hope this site can provide a "one-stop-shop" for folks who are interested in finding more information on when and where kirtan is happening all around the Big Island, all the time - making this page a resource for all those who just can't get enough, or who have always wanted to try it out but haven't made that first move to show up.

That's right, the Big Island is a spectacular place to "rock out on the Rocks!" And now it finally has a voice on the internet (tee-hee).

If you lead kirtan, or sacred music, in any form, please post to this blog, telling us when, where, who, and if applicable, what. How would you characterize your unique expression of kirtan? Why do you love to sing to the divine, to that which is sacred within?

If you attend kirtan, we'd love for you to share what your thoughts, feelings, and experience of it is. Let's spread kirtan's power and ability to transform, inspire, and uplift. Also, if it's not a gig somebody else has already told us about, let us know the when and where of your event so we can check it out too!

Aum and aloha,
Rachel Andersen
